Welcome to the official Ultimate Bad Candy Wiki!
This wiki is our attempt to document almost ten fucking years OMG of bad candy history, both in terms of the site itself, and the messageboards thereof. It is a communal effort, and is, in large part, totally stupid. You can help fix that! See below.
Tips for lost readers
- This wiki can help you make heads or tails of the characters and in-jokes strewn throughout the Bad Candy website and message board.
- The content can be pretty entertaining by itself, even out of context.
- It also makes for great memories for board members and long time readers, and is a great place to keep track of all the pix that the female members have posted of their own boobs, aka boobpixplz.
Tips for new editors
- If you're a total newb, try playing around in the Wiki Sandbox to get a feel for things.
- The wiki is organized into two parts:
- Groups are kind of like a parent directory, under which a bunch of individual entries live. There are three groups where content is being added right now:
- Main - Wiki-related info.
- UBCWebsite - Info about the Bad Candy website (non-messageboard)
- Messageboards - Info about the members and history of the boards themselves
- Pages are the actual entries contained by each group. Messageboards.Bad Candy Mark is the page about me, under the Messageboards group.
- You can see what changes have been made since your last visit by going to any page in a group and clicking Recent Changes in the footer. Remember, these are only changes within that group, not across the entire site. This is a good way to find out who's been fucking with your entries.
- On each edit page, there is a link below the save button that says Basic Editing. Click that when you don't know how to format something or post an image. It's all there.
- Right now, only an admin can edit the sidebar. I might change that.
- Remember that there is nothing in a wiki that keeps track of the pages you've created. It is very easy to create an orphaned page that has no links to it. If you create a new page, remember to make a way for people to find your work. One easy way to do this is to first make a link about something you want to write about on another page. Then follow that link, and edit the blank page.
How to become a wiki editor
- You must be a posting member of the message board in good standing.
- You must send a Private Message (in the message board) to Bad Candy Mark specifying a username and password (all lowercase and no spaces).
- No fatties, please.
- That means you, fatty.
